Maybe wonder I'm on vacation and wrote about the need for rest. But that usually are not holidays, only a rather intense journey ... After 3 months on the road a man can be really tired. We have superimposed the earlier pace too big, we wanted to see too much in too short a time and a little wykonczylo us. The countries we visited it would be necessary to devote 5-6 months in 3 months we should end up somewhere they were confident in Peru, just to see everything at once and do not spend to have full satisfaction with what we wanted to see. Anyway, tired we rested a few days in Quito, feeling a great need that nothing-not-do and sit for a while in one place. a few miles north of the equator runs Quito. It passes through the middle of the village mitad del Mundo (the center of the world). ... well, almost back, because somewhere in the pose of 300 years turned out that the equator is not where his monument, but it is 150 meters further to the north. At least according to the calculations indicated by GPS. Anyway, respect for those who calculate that in the eighteenth century, for such a small mistake! And we went to another museum, which lies on the new equator - admission $ 3 again. This museum is not already a great NATIONAL behemoth, a small, intimate, private museum. Definitely more interesting since then (though do not have a planetarium).
It's probably our only sin in common with the picture! But for that we are on different hemispheres of the world;)
In this museum can be done several experiments with the "scientific", which "Prove" that there really is equator - these experiments are:

I must also check on what basis, and arranging the entire calibrated GPS system, surely there also can make mistakes!

in the museum were also feeders for birds, including hummingbirds. One of them hovering around the area.
And that ends the relationship with Ecuador. There were still a few places we wanted to visit, but because of the limited time we decided to spend it in Colombia.
